Paulette Hamilton MP met Erdington local traders to discuss the 10 point plan to address the issues around our High Street.
Commenting after the meeting, Paulette said, “When I last met local traders who wanted action to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour along the High Street, Birmingham City Council agreed to come back with a 10-point plan to tackle the issues raised.
“I was pleased that the plan included more visible police presence and improved reporting opportunities by the police setting through ‘pop-up’ police surgeries. The council would be holding multi-partnership walks along the High Street and look at local infrastructure such as street lighting. There will be CCTV installed and a review carried out by the police to identify and resolve concerns that businesses may have.
“There will be follow-up meeting soon so that we can monitor the progress to reassure local businesses.”
