Paulette Hamilton MP joined forces with Friends of Erdington Library and Erdington Lunar Society to stop the plans to reduce the size of Erdington Library to make space for a youth centre. Following concerns raised, the Council swiftly withdrew the planning application.

Paulette said, “I’m pleased that the Council’s application to reduce the size of Erdington Library for a youth centre has been withdrawn.

 

“Tory cuts have led to the closure of over half of Birmingham’s youth services, so we know there is a need but it should not come at the cost of our library.”
