Paulette Hamilton MP has called for an urgent review of Birmingham’s road safety after two shocking tragedies left the community in reeling.

Paulette said, “This tragedy is yet another reminder that more needs to be done to improve the safety of vulnerable road users in our area. I have been working closely with the local police and councillors to improve road safety but understand that road calming measures are still too often put in place after an accident has occurred, rather than preventatively.

“We cannot wait for another tragedy to happen before action is taken and I have therefore written to Birmingham City Council calling for an urgent review.”
