Following a local campaign by Paulette Hamilton MP, the Government has decided not to close the local ticket offices in Erdington and Gravelly Hill. The plans would have affected elderly residents and residents with disabilities who relied on the ticket offices for assistance with access, ticket purchase, and travel planning.

Paulette Hamilton said, “I’m delighted that the government has seen sense and is no longer planning to close the train ticket offices at Erdington and Gravelly Hill stations. This is a huge victory for locals.”
