Paulette Hamilton Labour MP for Birmingham Erdington
Since 2019, the Conservative government has left Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision with a staggering £3.2 billion deficit. Years of cuts have left families and schools struggling, forcing many children with additional needs to face significant challenges in accessing the support they deserve.
Labour is taking decisive action to reverse this neglect. As part of a £2.3 billion boost for schools, Labour is committing £1 billion directly to SEND. This investment will help ensure that every child gets the tailored support they need to thrive.
While the Tories focused on cuts, Labour is focused on growth, investment, and rebuilding our communities for a fairer future.
