Following a dedicated local campaign, led by Paulette Hamilton MP, Birmingham City Council has refused the planning application for a 5-bedroom House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) on Mason Road. This decision reflects our community’s commitment to preserving the character and integrity of our neighbourhoods.

The proposal aimed to convert a family home into a multi-occupancy residence, a change that raised significant concerns among residents about potential impacts on local amenities, parking, and the overall community environment. In response, we mobilised swiftly, voicing our objections through a petition (386 signatures collected), encouraging residents to write in, and direct communications with the council.

This outcome is a testament to what we can achieve when we stand united.
