Paulette Hamilton Labour MP for Birmingham Erdington
Paulette Hamilton MP joined Erdington Police, West Midlands Fire Service, Birmingham City Council, and other local agencies for an all-out day of action on Erdington High Street. The event focused on engaging with shoppers, traders, and residents to raise awareness about the new Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) now in force, aimed at enhancing safety and improving the local environment.
The PSPO, alongside the impactful Operation Fearless initiative, is already making a difference in the community. These efforts reflect a shared commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour, reducing crime, and creating a more welcoming atmosphere for everyone who lives, works, and visits Erdington High Street.
During the day, Paulette spoke directly with local traders and shoppers, listening to their concerns and sharing how the PSPO and ongoing initiatives are designed to address these issues.
Paulette said, “It’s fantastic to see such a collaborative approach to improving Erdington High Street,”
“The new PSPO, combined with the hard work of our police, fire service, and council, is helping to make our community safer and stronger.”
