Since her election three years ago, Paulette Hamilton MP has made good on her promise to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour on Erdington High Street and the results speak for themselves. 

While others talked, Paulette acted. While others hesitated, she delivered. Thanks to her relentless campaigning, she secured £880,000 in funding for Operation Fearless, a targeted initiative that has restored safety and pride to our community. This victory didn’t come easily, it was won through Paulette’s determination, strong leadership, and refusal to accept failure.

Working directly with Chief Constable Craig Guildford and Police and Crime Commissioner Simon Foster, Paulette fought to ensure Erdington received the resources it needed. She brought together residents, traders, and community groups, holding regular meetings to shape a clear strategy and demand action. Her persistence paid off and now, Erdington is seeing real change.

Thanks to Operation Fearless, Erdington High Street is safer and stronger. The latest figures show:

• 140 arrests for offences including violence, theft, and drug crimes.
• 8 bladed weapons seized, removing dangerous weapons from our streets.
• £1.5 million worth of illicit goods recovered, disrupting criminal operations.
• Bans on repeat offenders, keeping them away from our High Street.

But Paulette didn’t stop there. Recognising the need for long-term solutions, her campaign has now secured a dedicated High Street team to ensure continued safety and regeneration. This team will work closely with local businesses, police, and community leaders to build on the progress already made.

“This is what happens when you have an MP who fights for you,” said Paulette. “I made a promise to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour that had been holding Erdington back and together, we’ve delivered real results. Operation Fearless has made our streets safer, but I’m not stopping here. With the new High Street team in place, we’ll keep pushing forward, because Erdington deserves nothing less.”
