Paulette Hamilton MP attended St Barnabas Church to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, honouring the sacrifices of those who fought for freedom during the Second World War.

She paid tribute to the brave men and women who served and gave their lives to secure peace for future generations. Reflecting on the significance of the day, Paulette emphasised the importance of remembering their courage and the enduring value of unity and resilience in the face of adversity.

Paulette commented, “Eighty years ago, the world celebrated the end of war in Europe, but we must never forget the immense cost of that victory,”

She added, “Today, we stand in gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could live in peace and freedom. Their legacy must continue to inspire us as we work towards a better future.”
