Paulette Hamilton Labour MP for Birmingham Erdington
Paulette Hamilton MP appeared on Jeremy Vine On 5. She calls out Tory failures on prisons and our NHS, highlighting Labour’s plan to Rebuild.
The Tories oversaw a near-collapse of the prison system, with just 500 new places built in 14 years. Their mismanagement has left the justice system in crisis, putting public safety at risk. Labour is rebuilding, brick by brick.
The party has committed to delivering 14,000 new prison places by 2031, the biggest expansion since Victorian times, ensuring criminals are properly detained and communities are protected.
The Conservatives left out NHS crumbling after years of underfunding and neglect. With waiting lists soaring and staff stretched to breaking point, she stressed that only Labour has a credible plan to rescue the health service.
Thanks to Labour’s £26 billion investment, the NHS is already seeing real progress, with falling waiting lists, 1,500+ new GPs, and 3.1 million extra appointments delivered.
