Erdington High Street was transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity this weekend, buzzing with arts, music and family-friendly activities as the community celebrated its ongoing revival.
The event marked the latest chapter in the area’s transformation, building on the foundations laid by Operation Fearless, the successful policing initiative that helped restore safety to the neighbourhood. Now, under the leadership of Ed King and the dedicated Erdington BID team, the high street is being reimagined as the beating heart of the community.
Local MP Paulette Hamilton, who joined residents for the celebrations, said: “What we’re seeing here is the incredible power of community partnership. Operation Fearless began the change by making our streets safer, and now Erdington BID is bringing that vision to life with creativity and passion. It’s been an honour to be part of this amazing journey!”
The event showcased local talent through live performances, art displays and interactive activities, drawing families from across the constituency.
