Paulette Hamilton Labour MP for Birmingham Erdington
Paulette Hamilton MP joined local police, community organisations, and councillors today to officially open the new Erdington Community Pod, a dedicated hub to support safety and regeneration efforts on the high street.
The pod, launched following the success of Operation Fearless, will serve as an additional resource for police and residents, strengthening engagement and crime prevention. Paulette spoke with DS Jim Munro, who has led the operation, about its impact in making Erdington safer.
She also confirmed ongoing work with Simon Foster, West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), to secure a front desk at Erdington Police Station, ensuring continued accessibility for the community. It was confirmed that the commitment from the police chief still stands.
“This pod is another step forward in reviving our high street as a thriving, safe destination,” said Paulette. “By working with the police, local organisations, and residents, we’re building on the progress of Operation Fearless and creating a better future for Erdington.”
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to tackling crime, boosting local business, and restoring pride in the area.
