I’m delighted to have secured £20 million to invest in our community.
After years of our area being overlooked, the new Labour government has listened. As your local MP, I have fought for Kingstanding in Parliament, and I am proud to have secured this long-term funding through the government’s Plan for Neighbourhoods.
This means that £2 million will be invested in Kingstanding every year for the next ten years. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for our community. This money can be used to:
- Create new youth clubs and improve community facilities.
- Make our streets safer and our public spaces cleaner.
- Revitalise our high street and support local businesses.
- Invest in our parks and green spaces for everyone to enjoy.
But this is your money, and you will decide how it’s spent.
I believe that the people who know what Kingstanding needs best are the people who live here. That’s why a local Neighbourhood Board, made up of residents, will be set up to decide how this money is used.
