It was a busy day on Erdington High Street as Paulette Hamilton MP joined Acting Chief Constable Scott Green, West Midlands Police, and the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, Simon Foster.

They walked the beat and heard firsthand from local businesses about Operation Fearless, and the challenges that still remain. Shop owners and staff shared their experiences, giving vital on-the-ground insight into what is working and where further action is needed.

As discussions took place, a large-scale police operation was underway right before their eyes, with police dogs and horses visible on the streets – a clear demonstration that Erdington remains a key focus in the fight against crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB).

Speaking after the visit, Paulette Hamilton MP said, “It was good to see Erdington remain a key focus in the fight against crime and ASB. I want to thank our local businesses, the police, and everyone working tirelessly to make our community safer. I will continue to push for the resources and action Erdington deserves.”
