A new planning application has been submitted for a seven-bedroom House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) at 128 Tyburn Road, Gravelly Hill.
Paulette Hamilton MP is opposing this application and is asking local residents to make their voices heard by signing the petition and submitting an individual objection to Birmingham City Council.
Planning application reference: 2026/01309/PA
Gravelly Hill already has the highest number of registered HMOs of any single-member ward in Birmingham, with 162 licensed HMOs. This proposal would result in the loss of another family home, further increase the concentration of HMOs in the area, put additional pressure on parking and traffic along the busy A38 Tyburn Road, and provides insufficient information about how additional waste from seven occupants would be managed.
Local residents know their communities best, and your views matter. If you have concerns about this application, please take a few minutes to support the petition and submit your own comments to the Council.
The deadline to submit comments is Monday 24 August 2026.
